Freshman Applicants Admission Steps First-time freshman applicants, including students who have received college-level credit while in high school, who wish to be considered for admission should submit the following: - Application for admission with required fee ($25) - Texas Common Application *
- Official high school and any college transcripts
- TAKS scores (for Texas residents attending public school)
- Entrance exam scores on the American College Test (ACT) or Scholastic Assessment Test I (SAT I)
* Applicants to WTAMU are not required to answer page 5 ("extracurricular, personal, volunteer activities") or page 6 ("employment information") on the Texas Common Application. Fall 2010 Admission Requirements Freshman applicants will be admitted to the University upon meeting all three conditions below: - Obtain a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA)
- Meet one of the following class rank and ACT/SAT requirements:

This includes:

Students who do not meet these conditions will be reviewed for admission on a competitive, individual basis, with weighted consideration of class rank and standardized test scores. Students may also be considered for provisional admission. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive a letter notifying you of your admission status (about ten days after your application file is complete). Other Important Information Transcripts Arrange for official transcripts to be sent from your high school (as well as any colleges or universities that you may have received credit from).
